AIKONA SHIPPING POLICY
Effective Date: 31 July 2026
This Shipping Policy explains how orders placed through the AIKONA / AIKONAOFFICIAL™ online store are processed, dispatched and delivered within the Republic of South Africa.
AIKONA (“AIKONA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses Aramex Store-to-Door as its primary domestic courier service.
By placing an order through our online store, the customer acknowledges and accepts the shipping arrangements described in this Policy, subject always to the customer's rights under applicable South African law.
1. Shipping Within South Africa
AIKONA currently offers nationwide delivery within the Republic of South Africa through Aramex Store-to-Door.
A flat shipping fee of R99.99 per order applies to standard nationwide delivery, unless a different shipping charge is clearly displayed and agreed during checkout.
The R99.99 standard shipping fee covers ordinary delivery within the areas serviced by our selected courier.
Certain remote, regional or specially serviced destinations may be subject to additional courier charges imposed by the courier. Where such an additional charge is applicable and is not already included in the customer's checkout price, AIKONA will communicate the additional charge to the customer before proceeding where reasonably possible.
AIKONA will not intentionally charge a customer an undisclosed mandatory delivery fee.
2. Delivery Timeframe
AIKONA's standard estimated delivery timeframe is 8–11 business days from the applicable dispatch point.
The stated 8–11 business-day period is a delivery estimate and may be affected by courier operations, destination, public holidays, weekends, remote-area service schedules, severe weather, incorrect delivery information, failed delivery attempts and circumstances outside AIKONA's reasonable control.
Business days generally refer to Monday through Friday and exclude South African public holidays.
The delivery timeframe should therefore not be interpreted as a guarantee that every order will arrive on a specific calendar day.
Where applicable South African law establishes a mandatory delivery period or provides a consumer with cancellation or refund rights because an order has not been delivered within the applicable period, those rights will remain unaffected.
3. Order Processing
Orders will normally be processed after successful payment has been received and verified.
The time required to process an order before it is handed to the courier may form part of the overall delivery timeframe communicated to the customer.
AIKONA may require additional time to process an order where payment requires verification, the customer's delivery information is incomplete or incorrect, a product is temporarily unavailable, or another reasonable fulfilment issue arises.
AIKONA will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer where a material delay to order processing becomes known.
4. Dispatch and Courier Handover
Once an order has been processed and handed to Aramex, the shipment becomes subject to the courier's delivery network, operating procedures and applicable courier terms.
AIKONA will provide the customer with tracking information where tracking information is made available to us by the courier.
The customer may use the applicable Aramex tracking facility to monitor the shipment.
Aramex's Store-to-Door service provides shipment tracking through its waybill number.
5. Tracking
Customers will receive tracking information when a shipment has been processed and tracking details are available.
The tracking number or waybill number should be retained until the order has been successfully delivered.
Tracking information may not become active immediately after an order is processed because the shipment must first enter the courier's scanning and collection system.
AIKONA is not responsible for temporary delays in tracking updates caused by the courier's scanning, technical or operational systems.
6. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address during checkout.
The customer should provide sufficient information for the courier to locate the delivery address, including the correct street address, suburb, city/town, province, postal code and contact number where applicable.
AIKONA is not responsible for delays, failed delivery attempts, additional courier charges or returned shipments caused by an incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible address supplied by the customer, to the extent permitted by law.
If an incorrect address is identified before dispatch, AIKONA may contact the customer to obtain corrected information.
7. Failed Delivery Attempts
The customer is responsible for being reasonably available to receive the order or for ensuring that an authorised person is available to receive it.
Where the courier is unable to complete delivery because nobody is available, the address is inaccessible, the delivery information is incorrect or another circumstance prevents delivery, the courier may make another delivery attempt or follow its applicable procedures.
Additional delivery charges may apply where a further delivery attempt, address correction or special delivery arrangement results in an additional charge from the courier.
AIKONA will not intentionally impose an additional charge unless the charge is actually applicable and permitted under the circumstances.
8. Remote and Outlying Areas
Although AIKONA advertises nationwide delivery, delivery times and courier service frequency can vary for remote, regional and outlying areas.
Aramex states that main-centre deliveries may take approximately 24–72 hours, while remote or regional areas may take longer because service frequency cannot always be guaranteed.
Accordingly, the AIKONA 8–11 business-day estimate may be exceeded for certain remote or regional destinations.
Where an additional courier charge applies to a remote or specially serviced destination, the customer will be informed where reasonably possible.
9. Public Holidays, Weekends and Peak Periods
Delivery estimates are calculated using business days.
Weekends and South African public holidays are excluded from the calculation unless expressly stated otherwise.
During periods of unusually high order volumes, including major promotional periods, Black Friday, December holidays and other peak periods, courier networks may experience increased demand.
Such circumstances may result in delivery taking longer than the normal estimated timeframe.
AIKONA will make reasonable efforts to process orders promptly during peak periods but cannot guarantee courier delivery dates where the delay is caused by the courier network or circumstances outside AIKONA's reasonable control.
10. Delays Outside AIKONA's Reasonable Control
AIKONA is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier network disruptions, severe weather, flooding, natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, road closures, accidents, infrastructure failures, power or telecommunications interruptions, government restrictions, public emergencies or other extraordinary events.
Where such an event occurs, AIKONA will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer and communicate material information that becomes available to us.
This provision does not remove any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
11. Lost or Missing Shipments
If a shipment appears to be lost, significantly delayed or otherwise missing according to the available tracking information, the customer should contact AIKONA so that we can investigate the shipment with the courier.
AIKONA may request the customer's order number, delivery information and other reasonable information required to investigate the shipment.
Where the courier confirms that a shipment has been lost and AIKONA is legally responsible for providing a remedy, AIKONA will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
A customer will not be required to resolve a courier investigation directly where AIKONA is responsible for the relevant supplier obligation.
12. Damaged Deliveries
Customers should inspect the outer packaging and product upon delivery where reasonably possible.
If a parcel appears materially damaged, the customer should notify AIKONA as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs or other information that may assist with the investigation.
AIKONA may request photographs of the packaging, shipping label and product to assist in determining whether the damage occurred during transportation or resulted from another cause.
The absence of an immediate damage report does not, by itself, remove any statutory consumer rights available to the customer.
13. Wrong or Missing Items
If an order contains an incorrect product, missing product or materially different product from what was ordered, the customer should contact AIKONA as soon as reasonably possible.
AIKONA will investigate the order and, where AIKONA is responsible for the error, provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable South African law.
Where a replacement or return is required because of an error by AIKONA, AIKONA will bear the applicable costs required by law.
14. Delivery to P.O. Boxes
Aramex Store-to-Door is a door-delivery courier service and does not ordinarily deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
Customers should therefore provide a physical delivery address that can receive a courier delivery.
Aramex states that Store-to-Door deliveries require a recipient signature and do not ordinarily deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
15. Delivery Confirmation
A delivery may be recorded by the courier through its tracking system, proof-of-delivery documentation, recipient signature or another applicable delivery confirmation method.
Where a shipment is recorded as delivered but the customer has not received it, the customer should contact AIKONA promptly so that the delivery can be investigated with the courier.
AIKONA may request reasonable information from the customer to assist with the investigation.
16. Shipping Charges and Refunds
The standard shipping charge is R99.99 per order for nationwide South African delivery, subject to the terms of this Policy.
Where a customer exercises a statutory right to cancel a qualifying online transaction, the treatment of the original shipping charge and return costs will be determined in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Where AIKONA supplied the wrong product, supplied defective goods or otherwise becomes legally responsible for a return, AIKONA will bear the applicable delivery or return costs required by law.
Where a customer voluntarily returns a product outside a statutory right, any shipping-cost refund will be determined according to AIKONA's Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law.
17. International Shipping
AIKONA currently offers South African domestic shipping only.
Orders are not currently available for international delivery unless AIKONA expressly makes an international shipping option available.
18. Courier Limitations
Certain goods may be prohibited or restricted from transportation by Aramex or applicable law.
AIKONA will not knowingly dispatch goods that cannot lawfully or safely be transported through the selected courier service.
Where a customer's order cannot be shipped because the product or delivery destination is incompatible with the courier service, AIKONA will contact the customer and provide the applicable remedy where required.
19. Courier Insurance and Claims
Aramex Store-to-Door publishes its own terms regarding shipment protection and claims.
Aramex currently states that its Store-to-Door service includes R1,000 Marine GIT cover for qualifying goods, subject to a R100 excess and the applicable insurance terms.
This courier insurance arrangement does not replace or reduce any statutory rights that a customer may have against AIKONA under applicable South African consumer law.
Any claim involving a damaged or lost shipment will be handled in accordance with the applicable courier terms and AIKONA's legal obligations to the customer.
20. Shipping and Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts or waives any consumer right provided by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 or any other applicable South African law.
Where applicable law provides a consumer with a right to cancel, obtain a refund or otherwise receive a remedy because goods were not delivered as agreed or within the legally applicable period, that right will remain unaffected.
Where any provision of this Shipping Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the applicable law will prevail.
21. Contact Regarding Shipping
For questions regarding an order, delivery, tracking number or shipping issue, customers should contact AIKONA through the customer-service contact details displayed on the website.
Customers should include their order number when contacting AIKONA about an existing shipment.
AIKONA will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and investigate delivery issues with the courier where necessary.
